I was roaming over the mainland and I came across Linden Village. I’d never been there before so I looked around and spotted a bear on the roof of one house. It has a hover text, “Click me to get Simon Bear info.” So I clicked and found myself on a mission.

I never cease to be impressed with the creativity found in Second Life. Last month, I discovered through SLU that a group of artists in SL were putting together a production of The Phantom of the Opera. As if that weren’t enough, the company is made up of furries.

Furry Against Furry

Yesterday was my first day as a furry. I mentioned in my blog entry on furries yesterday that part of my motivation for wanting to explore this theme are the complaints I’ve read about harassment. Obviously, not everyone likes everything in Second Life and some people are just jerks; we all know this. I expected to get an off-color comment at some point, but I was rather flippant at what I thought were just exaggerations. Boy, was I wrong.

Darling, You Are the Lag

I went to the Vanity Universe Skin Fair 2011 today. I knew it would be busy and I’d heard residents say they’ve been having trouble getting in and complaints about the lag. Popular events like this are always going to be laggy, but residents can do a lot to minimize the lag.

There was some serious fabulosity going on at this weekend’s Inaugural Macaroon Ball at the Hôtel Spiritueaux in New Toulouse. I was very tempted to approach everyone with a microphone and ask, “Darling, who are you wearing?”

The water in New Toulouse has receded, but last night saw saw residents and guests paddling through the streets. I put away my dresses and opted for denim shorts, my favorite wellies, and a classic Cajun hat.
